The Honorable Kay Bailey Hutchison:

As a member of the Central Texas Association of Lebanese Americans,

 I would like to thank you and the U.S. Congress for passing House Resolution 91 

in support of Lebanon's struggle for freedom. I would also like to ask you for your 

continuous support for a free, independent, and democratic Lebanon by endorsing 

the following actions:

1. Insist on an international investigation into the assassination of the Former Prime Minister Mr. Rafik Hariri. 

2. Demand the resignation of the current government of Lebanon. 

3. Request that the Syrian Security and Intelligence forces withdraw from Lebanon immediately. 

4. Ensure democratic elections in Lebanon, free from fear and intimidation. 

5. Seek the demilitarization of all Lebanese militia and political parties.

6. Ensure the security of Lebanon from all foreign threats including Syria and Israel.

These are drastic times we are facing. The American Lebanese community respectfully request that you 

endorse the above actions in support of a free and independent Lebanon.
